Louisville Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Florida State in Week 8
By Jesse Smith
Bobby Petrino might be a coach with a cloudy past, but he’s been a good coach everywhere he has went he has won, except the NFL, but we won’t get into that. He has won at Louisville (twice), Arkansas and Western Kentucky.
It’s hard to argue with a guy with his success, but it feels like he is wasting the elite talent of Lamar Jackson. It should be easier to recruit at all the key positions when you have the carrot to dangle that is Jackson’s success. The defense is in shambles and they put Jackson and the offense in a rough position because they aren’t allowed to make mistakes.
Louisville is currently 4-3 overall and 1-3 in the ACC, nobody saw them being in this position after seven games, losing on the road happens, but losing at home to Clemson (one of the best teams in the country so that can be forgiven) and Boston College (really hurts) raises some questions.

Nobody expected Louisville to lose to Boston College, especially at home. Petrino has had two good seasons since returning to the program, but will his seat get hotter if he continues to blow the Lamar Jackson experience with a mediocre season?
