Reason 1: This game has all the makings of an upset

Ole Miss has momentum after a big home win over Vanderbilt. LSU is fresh off of an upset over then 10th ranked Auburn. This is a rivalry game and the conditions tend to suit the home team (Ole Miss) in such matchups.

Ole Miss has nothing to lose against its rival and LSU has everything to lose against Ole Miss. A loss to the Rebels could effectively end the Tigers hopes at an SEC West crown, as well as certainly keep them from the college football playoff. Therefore all of the pressure of having to win this game sides with the Bayou Bengals.

Ole Miss on the other hand, being ineligible for the postseason in 2017, has nothing to lose and can go into this game in a sense, worry free. The Rebels have all the momentum at home and the return of Ed Orgeron to Oxford will only mean more to all Rebel fans in that stadium on Saturday.

The conditions are right for an upset and that gives Ole Miss the edge in the 2017 edition of the Magnolia Bowl. Will they capitalize?
