1. Notre Dame’s rushing attack is truly lethal

Georgia and the Michigan State Spartans were the only teams able to contain the Notre Dame ground game to some degree. However, Notre Dame was able to handily defeat Michigan State and nearly beat Georgia.

There’s something brewing in South Bend, Ind. And, when the ground game is really on, the Irish are going to win by a lot. Controlling the clock gives the defense a chance to really dominate opposing offense. That’s what happened here.

As a team, Notre Dame compiled more than 370 yards on the ground and five scores, while averaging 8.0 yards per carry. Considering USC was able to beat a team in Stanford that’s so good on the ground, what Notre Dame did is just that much more impressive.

Next: It's time to take Notre Dame seriously

It’s not only time to take Notre Dame seriously as a Playoff contender, but to really talk about their rushing attack as one of the best in the country. The quarterback-running back duo between Brandon Wimbush and Josh Adams is unmatched by any other team in the nation.
