1. Struggling ‘Cats

Following a 3-1 start to the year, Bill Snyder and Kansas State have hit a rut.

The Wildcats dropped their third straight Saturday, allowing Oklahoma to rally for a 42-35 victory in Manhattan.

After losing at home to TCU last week, 26-6, and coupled with the double-overtime setback at Texas earlier this month, the prospects look bleak for KSU.

Alex Delton filled in once more at quarterback for Jesse Ertz, completing 12-of-14 for 144 yards and adding a team-high 142 yards on the ground. He also ran in three touchdowns and threw another.

Alex Barnes added 108 yards, including a 75-yard TD jaunt for the first score of the game just 18 seconds in, but the Wildcat defense was picked apart by Baker Mayfield and crew.

After going up 21-7, Kansas State was outscored 35-14 the rest of the way. Mayfield went over 400 yards and the Sooners had over 200 yards on the ground.

Thankfully, two winnable games are on the docket next, as Kansas State travels to Kansas and Texas Tech before finishing the year with West Virginia, Oklahoma State and Iowa State. To get bowl eligible, Snyder will need some of his magic to work.
