2. Jordan Wilkins and the ground game will stay hot

One of the more underrated aspects of this Ole Miss offense recently has been the emergence of a legit rushing attack. Senior running back Jordan Wilkins alone rushed for 86 yards and one touchdown, averaging more than 6.5 yards per carry, against LSU.

As a team, Ole Miss averaged 5.5 yards per carry and got two scores against a talented LSU front seven. Jordan Ta’amu is also strong with his legs which could add another strong aspect to the Ole Miss ground game.

Wilkins has now set career-highs in carries and rushing yards with 468 yards and 84 attempts. He’s averaging 5.6 yards per carry and also has five total touchdowns on the season. Wilkins has also got in the end zone in each of the last three games.

If Ole Miss wants a chance at success for the rest of the season, it will have to start with the ground game on offense. Wilkins is one of the most experienced players on the roster and will have to ease a new starting quarterback into this system.
