NFL Mock Draft 2018: Complete first round after Week 8
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could use another piece along the defensive line that can be a long-term answer in place of Robert Ayers. While Ayers is not the worst player to have along the defensive line, the Bucs could use an upgrade.
If LSU edge rusher Arden Key is still available at this spot, it would make a lot of sense to go ahead and draft him. Key has had consistency issues during his tenure with the Tigers, but there’s no doubting the talent level he possesses.
He’s racked up 1.5 sacks and 16 total tackles this season. However, Key has only played in five games this season since he missed time due to injury. Yet, this is the first time that Key missed much time during any regular season in his three years in Baton Rouge.
This season has not gone as expected for Tampa Bay. Quarterback Jameis Winston did not take the team to new heights in the NFC South, but we do have a long way to go in the 2017 NFL season.
