When they have been on, the offensive line for Texas A&M has been as good as anybody in the nation.

The problem, though, has been when they are off.

The Aggies have run for 1,432 yards on 319 carries, scoring 17 touchdowns on the ground.  Trayveon Williams, Keith Ford and Kellen Mond all have at least 300 yards rushing, led by Williams’ 440.

Koda Martin is the starter at left tackle, with Colton Prater and Ryan McCollum sharing the duties next to him on the inside. Erik McCoy is a center, Keaton Sutherland the right tackle and Connor Lanfear and Jared Hocker at right guard. Most of the time.

Youth is definitely on the side of this unit, with Martin a redshirt junior, Lanfear and Sutherland juniors, Prater and McCoy sophomores, and McCollum and Hocker freshman.

Best Game

Despite suffering a 45-44 setback, the Aggies ran for 382 yards, averaging 6.1 per carry, and scored five rushing touchdowns against UCLA in the season opener for both teams.

The holes cleared for Williams and Ford were about as perfect as you could possibly have, especially in the first half. The Bruins, though, were able to make adjustments and rally for the win.

Worst Game

When you have Alabama on the schedule, odds are pretty good that your worst game will be vs. the Crimson Tide.

Texas A&M averaged just 1.8 yards per carry on 40 attempts, finishing the contest with Alabama with 71 yards rushing. The Tide defense has made teams look sad and pathetic on offense all year, and the Aggies were no different.
