1. Washington Huskies

Washington is hosting the UCLA Bruins. The Huskies are ranked 5th in the S&P+ while UCLA is ranked 49th. The Bruins haven’t played defense, and consider Jim Mora Jr is a defensive coach, that’s bad news. However, elite quarterback Josh Rosen has been everything he was advertised to be. Rosen has thrown for 2600 yards on a bad football team including 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. At least Rosen hasn’t been forced to run the ball like Herbert or Eric Dungey had been.

The Washington Huskies, whose only loss has been to the Arizona State Sun Devils, have had a bye week to prepare for UCLA. Chris Petersen’s Huskies host the Bruins in Seattle but Josh Rosen has been known to do amazing things. The Huskies second ranked defense will have to do battle with the Bruins seventh ranked offense. UCLA is 4-3 having lost to Memphis, Stanford and Arizona but they’ve beat Texas A&M and Oregon in 2017.

Jake Browning has been the epitome of consistency with his 1,600 passing yards and 14 touchdowns to only three interceptions. Browning is a good, solid, reliable quarterback that can pick apart the confused UCLA defense. However, I just have a feeling about Josh Rosen in this game. Rosen and Mora will be fighting for their livelihoods and a showcase game against Washington will be huge for both.
