SEC Football Power Rankings 2017: LSU on the rise in Week 9

Sorry you have to see those ugly uniforms again. But that is how we have to remember the Gators after their loss to Texas A&M was followed up with a bye week. Florida returns to action this week against the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs came back from their bye week in tip-top shape with a dominating performance over Kentucky. Bulldog quarterback Nick Fitzgerald had the offense humming and the defense was even better. Defensive coordinator Todd Grantham has really revitalized a defense that bad in 2016 into a pretty respectable group in 2017.

The Bulldogs are set up well to finish in the top four of the SEC West. With two SEC losses it’s unlikely that they can challenge for the SEC West title, but they’ll at least compete to be at the top. A matchup with Texas A&M this week will show if their capable of being one of the better teams in the conference.
