This may sound repetitive but blame the SEC schedulers not me. Texas A&M was on a bye week last week. The Aggies will host Mississippi State this week in a big time SEC West showdown.

What was once a team left for dead, could easily be an SEC contender now. The LSU Tigers have been one of the more perplexing teams to date with great wins against Florida, and Auburn but bad losses against Mississippi State and Troy. After their upset of Auburn many wondered if they would be able to carry over into a good performance or a let down against Ole Miss.

The Tigers made it known that they’re here to stay as a good team. For now anyways. LSU was bolstered by the return to form of running back Derrius Guice who had his best performance of the season, rushing for 276 yards.

The LSU defense also seems to be hitting their stride as they kept the Ole Miss passing game in check for the night. LSU is a hot or cold team this season but as of now they’re hot and look like one of the better teams in the SEC. We’ll know just what they’re capable of when they face Alabama in two weeks.
