The Bulldogs remain the second best team in the league in this weeks rankings. Georgia was on a bye week, but they will face their arch-rival, the Florida Gators in Jacksonville on Saturday. A win over the Gators will all but assure them of winning the SEC East.

The Crimson Tide remain the top team in the SEC once again after their demolition of Tennessee. Alabama jumped out to an early 21-0 lead at the half before continuing to steam roll the Volunteers in the second half. Alabama has now defeated Tennessee 11 times in a row. Something that all but assuredly will only aid to the fact that Butch Jones will be out at Tennessee by the end of the year.

Back to the Tide, Alabama played one of their best games of the year, particularly on defense. They contained Vols quarterback Jarrett Guarantano to just 44 yards passing in the game. The offense shredded the Vols defense. Let’s just be honest, the outcome of the game was never in doubt.

As any contest for Alabama this season, there hasn’t been any doubt that the Tide would win other than the opener against Florida State. Alabama now heads into their bye week to prep and get ready for a showdown in Tuscaloosa with the LSU Tigers.
