12. Maryland Terrapins

Unless it is a fan of the Maryland Terrapins, there has not been much positive feedback surrounding the team and their uniforms. One could argue they get a high ranking due to their uniqueness, because there is truly no other styles similar to this in the country, much less the Big Ten, but an overall glance at the combination seems to be a bit much.

The school and Under Armour do a great job incorporating the state of Maryland’s pride and heritage into their uniform and are consistent with both the road, away, and even alternate versions, but for the casual fan it seems to be a bit much.

The Terps fit two of the three criteria in uniqueness and variety, but the color schemes and patterns they are putting out there is nothing more than tacky to non-Terrapins fans.

11. Penn State Nittany Lions

Perhaps a majorly unpopular opinion here, the Nittany Lions have been rocking the classic white helmets, blue jerseys, and white pants for ages with no signs of mixing it up. Again traditionalists can argue all they want about Penn State being so low, but when the entire stadium shows up in white for a “white-out”, one would think the team would be dressed in all white, too.

No variety and literally no color involved with this uniform, it would be cool to see the Nittany Lions spice it up a bit — or wear a helmet with their logo on it for once.
