2. Michigan State Spartans

Usually wearing the classic green and white look, the Spartans will often go big from time to time and bring in a look that is eye-opening. Another team with a few helmet options, Michigan State will bring out the all-white look for road games and then come home with an all-green look or simply the traditional white and green.

The team has also rocked gold in their color patterns as well and is usually an indication of a big game. Usually when a team brings in a color not associated with the normal look, it can smell trouble, but for Michigan State, the color gold and the name Spartans just seems to make sense.

1. Northwestern Wildcats

Northwestern gets a leg up on the rest of the league by having a unique purple background that no one else in the Big Ten owns, as well as not many in the entire NCAA. Rocking purple and white is a nice move on its own, but the Wildcats love to mix and match the two, along with throwing in black in their uniforms frequently.

Over the last several years, the Wildcats have been seen wearing purple, black, and even grey jerseys for home games and have utilized the same color helmets off and on as well. Perhaps the biggest uniform move the Wildcats did was honoring the military troops with their American look.

Having colors like purple an black at their disposal gives Northwestern the opportunity to be creative in almost any way and being able to add in grey or even the United States flag colors in there just shows anyone can make a message using uniforms.
