As the quarterback for the top-ranked Crimson Tide, Jalen Hurts should already be in the discussion for the Heisman. However, that isn’t the case at the moment.

According to Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, Hurts has actually fallen from 20-1 odds to 50-1 over the course of the season despite leading Alabama to an unbeaten record.

It’s not like Hurts has really done anything to hurt the Tide, either, it’s just that there is such a high-level of respect for those playing around him in Tuscaloosa that the sophomore’s skills are overshadowed.

Hurts has thrown nine touchdowns with just one interception, completing almost 63 percent of his passes for 1,223 yards. He also has three games of over 100 yards rushing, racking up 572 yards and six more scores with his legs.

Two more key regular season games await Hurts and Alabama, as they open November in prime-time vs. LSU and close at Auburn before the SEC title game likely awaits.

If Hurts can put up 300 total yards and win the next four games, he could find his name in the mix for the biggest award.
