Remember Kenny “Trill” Hill, the quarterback who replaced Johnny Manziel and burst on the scene years ago?

Well, he appears to be back for the unbeaten TCU Horned Frogs and is having a great senior season.

Hill might have ditched the “Trill” moniker, but his play is definitely thrilling.

Through seven games, Hill has thrown for 1,728 yards with 15 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He is coming off a 19-for-26 performance for 278 yards with five touchdowns vs. Kansas, giving him a quarterback rating of 226.4.

Hill’s also thrown four touchdowns in two other games this year and has completed at least 60 percent of his throws in six, including 24 of 30 vs. SMU.

In 2014, Hill replaced Manziel and Texas A&M and passed for just over 2,600 yards with 23 touchdowns. He left College Station for Fort Worth, sitting out 2015 before returning last year and throwing for over 3,200 yards with 17 touchdowns. But Hill has already cut down on his interceptions and sacks, which has helped TCU to a 7-0 record.

The Horned Frogs are the last unbeaten standing in the Big 12 and head to Iowa State for a showdown with the red-hot Cyclones this weekend. Hill also has games vs. Texas and Oklahoma in coming weeks, having already defeated Oklahoma State and West Virginia.
