3. Trey Sermon and Abdul Adams

Oklahoma has had an embarrassment of riches in running back in recent years. With the duo of Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine the Sooner backfield was a force to be reckoned with. There were some question on how they would fill this void in 2017. Trey Sermon and Adbul Adams have answered those questions.

Sermon is averaging 5.7 yards per carry and has three rushing touchdowns this season. Not to mention what he gives Oklahoma in the passing game. He has averages 7.9 yards per reception and 2 more touchdowns.

Adams has less touches but when he does get the ball it is special. He is averaging 10.6 yards per carry this season. He is no slouch in passing game either averaging 16 yards per catch. As a team Oklahoma is averaging 199 yards on the ground which includes a 382 yard performance against Baylor.
