1. Baker Mayfield holds a grudge

For those that don’t remember Baker Mayfield started his college career as a Red Raider. He was a walk on quarterback and competed with names like Michael Brewer and Davis Webb. Brewer was injured and it was a competition between walk-on Mayfield and freshman Davis Webb. Mayfield eventually made took starting roll for most of season.

Brewer eventually transferred to Virginia Tech and Mayfield was expected to battle for spot with Davis Webb. Texas Tech however did not see fit to award scholarship to one of their top quarterbacks. Mayfield announced he was transferring and the rest is history.

Baker had to sit out the 2014 season due to NCAA transfer rules. But in 2015 he was named starter for Oklahoma. Against Texas Tech he threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns in a 63-27 victory. In 2016 however their were real fireworks. Mayfield had 545 yards passing and seven touchdowns. In that game Mayfield had a whopping 20 yards per completion average and a completion percentage of 75 percent. Look for more of the same Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.
