2. Alex Hornibrook

Alex Hornibrook needs to play better if the Badgers want to win big games. Hornibrook is a game manager at best, but in this offense it is all he is told to do.

In this game, Hornibrook went 10-of-19 for 135 yards passing and one interception. This Illinois defense gives up a good bit of yards through the air usually. The Illini defense gives up 200 yards in the air. Once Jonathan Taylor was out of the game, I would have love to see Chryst give Hornibrook the offense and raise his confidence passing the ball.

Badger hopeful and the nation know about the running attack, but to win a championship you need a quarterback to better than average. Hornibrook now is 15-2 as a starter but his two losses are big games against Michigan and Ohio State.

In both games, his QBR was lower than 60 and he threw four interceptions and only two touchdowns. To be real contenders, this offense needs to open it just a little bit more.
