3. The Eye Test

It is a very unpopular thing to use when it comes to ranking a team, but we all know the committee uses this “metric.” I have watched Wisconsin play their last six games and come back out with three points of emphasis.

First, Jonathan Taylor is an amazing running back. Second, their defense has looked good but will not be really tested until the Big Ten Championship. Third, Alex Hornibrook is a good quarterback that has promise but I wouldn’t trust him to win my team a championship.

If the Badgers can not run the ball, they have a hard time scoring points. Prime example is last week against Illinois. Jonathan Taylor didn’t play in the second half and the Badgers only scored one touchdown…to a offensive lineman.

The Wisconsin Badgers can definitely find a way to be in the last College Football Playoff Ranking because of the Big Ten Championship. But until that point, the Badgers have not proven they deserve a Top 4 spot in the Rankings. It’s all good Badgers fan, just keep winning and you will be in the Top 4.
