Penn State Football: 3 bold predictions against No. 24 Michigan State
By Jesse Smith
2. MSU will hang around for first half then PSU will take over
Michigan State is fresh off losing a game to Northwestern in triple overtime. Michigan State is tied for second in the Big Ten East with Penn State, so Saturday is an important game for the Spartans and Nittany Lions. Both teams come into Saturday’s game 4-1 in the Big Ten East.
Spartan fans, I’m going to hit you with a dose of reality and it’s going to hurt, but on Saturday you will lose to the Nittany Lions by double-digits. I know that hurts, but I do believe you guys will keep it close for the first two quarters of the game, but after the half, Penn State will adjust and take over the game.
I’ve already stated that Saquon Barkley will have a big day against one of college football’s best defenses and I really don’t think the Spartans have the offense to get into a slugfest with Penn State, so it all will be on the defense if they are going to upset the Nittany Lions.
I don’t see it happening because Trace McSorley and Barkley won’t have it on Saturday. Michigan State will be eyeing 4-2 in the Big Ten East division.
