4. Darnold and Allen are losing ground

USC was a preseason favorite to win the PAC-12 and make a run to the College Football Playoff. All that was supposed to happen under the direction of Sam Darnold. Just 10 weeks and eight games have caused two-losses for the Trojans to Notre Dame and Washington State.

Meanwhile, Josh Allen has just 1,450 passing yards with 12 touchdown passes and six interceptions. The turnover problems for both Darnold and Allen are apparent. Both quarterbacks have thrown at least half as many touchdowns as interceptions.

Rumor is that Darnold might not even declare for the NFL Draft after the 2017 campaign. Especially if the Browns have the first overall pick, Darnold might decide to stay with USC for another year.

The only safe option for NFL teams to go with right now seems to be Rosen. The struggles that Darnold and Allen are having just make them too risky to take them in the top five. Yet, the season is not over and quite a few things can still change until the 2018 NFL Draft.
