3. Rosen’s mechanics are rock solid

Few quarterbacks at the college ranks have the developed throwing motion that Rosen possesses. He’s one of the best pure passers in the country. The quick release and smooth footwork gives scouts a lot to like.

Rosen has a release that’s hard to time and tough to get a hand on for defensive lineman. At 6-foot-4-inches, it’s also tough to bat down his passes with how high the release point is on his passes.

Many quarterbacks that will be drafted in the upcoming year will have to work on their footwork until they can be trusted to drop back in an NFL offense. Rosen is one of the few ready to run almost any NFL scheme without problem.

The UCLA product has drawn comparisons to Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers in terms of mobility to get outside the pocket in combination with his slid mechanics. There’s very little downside to selecting Rosen as the first quarterback of the 2018 NFL Draft.
