1. Makes the players around him better

A key component among the best quarterbacks in the NFL is making all the surrounding weapons better. The New England Patriots always have wide receivers putting up big numbers because of Tom Brady. The same thing happens with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

We’re seeing the same effect with Rosen and the UCLA offense. Senior wide receiver Darren Andrews is only two yards short of setting a career mark in receiving yards. Andrews has 707 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Rosen is also making players like wide receiver Jordan Lasley and tight end Caleb Wilson look much better too. Lasley is the second-look for Rosen on most occasions while Wilson has been streaky with some huge performances this year.

If a team is really looking to add a quarterback that can have an instant impact, look no further than Rosen. Questions about the quality of the weapons that Darnold has surrounding him at USC shows that he cannot have the same presence as Rosen.
