UCLA Football: 5 bold predictions for the Bruins in November 2017
By Dana Becker
3. Big things coming in 2018
For as many issues as UCLA fans might have with Mora in-season, the guy can flat-out recruit.
Most have the Bruins in the Top-15 in terms of 2018 recruiting classes and ranked high in the Pac-12. The current list of commits includes the heir apparent to Rosen in dual-threat quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson from the famed Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.
Thompson-Robinson is a four-star prospect ranked among the Top-50 players in the country. He committed back in April along with Texas safety Cam’ron Jones.
In May, UCLA picked up another safety prospect in Stephan Blaylock, with wide receiver Joahan Dotson, defensive end Abdul-Malik McClain and cornerback Olaijah Griffin joining since.
What happens if the Bruins decide to part with Mora and the rest of his staff? Will Thompson-Robinson start a mass exodus out of Inglewood? He had offers from Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Florida State and just about every othe program out there.
Maybe if he can put together a winning record, it will be worth keeping Mora around to at least get most of the talented kids on campus.
