1. David Beaty’s time with Kansas could be running out

Kansas head coach David Beaty looked to be turning things around recently with some good recruiting and bringing in former TCU co-offensive coordinator Doug Meacham to run the offense in a surprise move.

However, Kansas is likely in for another last place finish in the Big 12 and might actually take a step back from a season ago. Progress has to be shown when the expectations for a program like Kansas are as low as they are.

The only win for Kansas came against Southeast Missouri out of the FCS. After that, a 30-20 loss to the Kansas State Wildcats in Week 9 was the closest the Jayhawks have come to winning a game. Kansas also played the Central Michigan Chippewas and Ohio Bobcats in the non-conference slate.

A bit more patience will be shown to Beaty as he continues to try to build a foundation for this team. Kansas is a tough job to take since the Big 12 has some recruiting and coaching powers well-established.
