3. Rosier is Flawed But Still A Winner

Malik Rosier might be a flawed quarterback, but the kid is a winner. The junior quarterback for Miami is now 9-0 as a starter and 8-0 in 2017. He threw three interceptions but did average 9.2 yards per pass attempt and threw two touchdowns. Rosier threw one to Christopher Herndon IV, the ‘Canes all-purpose tight end, and another to captain Braxton Berrios. He added another 84 yards rushing and a rushing touchdown on 6.5 yards per carry.

The undefeated starter, even caught a pass for 17 yards. He has led this Hurricanes team to fourth quarter comebacks against Florida State, Duke and Georgia Tech while holding off the Syracuse Orange and North Carolina Tar Heels in close games. Now the Hurricanes have beaten up the Hokies to make up for last year’s beatdown at the hands of the turkeys from Blacksburg.

Mark Richt and Thomas Brown had a much more interesting first quarter game plan but struggled to keep it going as the game progressed.

Miami needs Rosier to limit his turnovers, continue to be a threat on the ground, and show more accuracy passing the ball. Travis Homer picked up 95 yards and a touchdown as well on 6.8 yards per carry. Deejay Dallas, who was just moved to running back from receiver, ran for 5.8 yards per carry and helped the Hurricanes keep Homer healthy.
