1. Alabama is lightyears ahead of LSU

All things come to an end someday. Alabama has been on top of the college football world, since the invention of the cell phone so it seems. Since Nick Saban came on in 2007, the Crimson Tide has been rolling along with four championships.

No doubt, that every team draws a comparison to Alabama. Can they beat Alabama? Are they even worthy enough to be put in the conversation? Georgia is now the latest possibility. The constant doubt of whether Georgia is the real No. 1 team will be debated till the SEC Championship. And this is fair, since most of the teams that have drawn parallels have gone down brutally to the Tide.

While that may be true, it hasn’t been that long ago when Alabama was striving for a winning season. Take a look at the seasons from 2003-06. Mike Shula was the coach at the time. Alabama had three seasons where they failed to break the .500 mark.

Many have forgotten about the 4-9, 6-6, and 6-7 seasons just over a decade ago. History always repeats itself. This could be next year or in 2020. But take my word, Alabama is gonna fall again. In my opinion, that time is gonna come sooner than later. The SEC is getting stronger, and LSU is improving in my opinion.

LSU is creeping up and Georgia is closing in. Alabama is not as invincible as some would want you to believe. Clemson proved that a year ago by knocking them off. With the longer season to play, there’s simply more chance to slip and fall. And LSU is gonna be there in the rear view mirror.
