Peach Bowl

Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl: Central Florida (Group of 5) vs. Ohio State (at-large)
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, Ga.)
When: Jan. 1, 2018, at noon ET on ESPN
Last week’s projection: Washington vs. Clemson

Last week, Ohio State had played their way into the playoff and in the blink of an eye, along with 55 points from Iowa we see the Buckeyes officially out of the playoff but not out of the NY6. They can thank Oklahoma State and Penn State for that as both teams lost so Ohio State was put back into the at-large pool (like I said, this week got weird).

Central Florida survived a road test at SMU on Saturday and now their path seems very clear to reach a NY6 bowl. They’ll blast UConn and go past Temple so that would mean a thanksgiving weekend showdown with South Florida will decided their bowl fate. A win there will more than likely put the Knights into a NY6 bowl regardless of what happens in the AAC title game.

Week 11 outlook: Ohio State is done as far as the playoff goes but they can still play for a Big Ten title and they will make a big step in that direction with a win at home against Michigan State on Saturday. It’s elementary for Central Florida at this point, if they keep winning then they will be in a NY6 bowl, sorry Knights fans you will not be in the playoff.
