3. The Badgers need help, and they are going to get it

Being at No. 8, that means that the Badgers are going to need help if they wish to move up. Of course, they will need to take care of business themselves, but theoretically, if all seven teams win out in front of them they would be left out.

Many thought the Big Ten Conference would be in dire trouble following the losses to Ohio State and Penn State last week, but for the Badgers- that simply meant they got to move up. Albeit it was only one spot, but had they both won last week we could be seeing Wisconsin at No. 10 rather than No. 8.

Starting with this Saturday alone, there are three different matchups featuring top ten teams alone.

  • No. 1 Georgia at No. 10 Auburn
  • No. 6 TCU at No. 5 Oklahoma
  • No. 3 Notre Dame at No. 7 Miami

Due to this, that means at minimum, two teams in front of Wisconsin will fall on Saturday. Of course, the argument can be made that they lost to good teams- but at the same time some of these teams could be falling to two, maybe even three losses.

With that being said, the Badgers can count on moving up again next week- especially over the loser of Oklahoma at TCU. Additionally, more of these teams in the top ten will be facing off again throughout the year.
