3. Battle with Bryce Love on Nov. 25

The three Heisman contenders at running back right now are Adams, Love, and Penn State’s Saquon Barkley. Penn State’s losses to the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan State Spartans have seen a dip in Barkley’s hype and production.

If Adams can round out the season in positive fashion he could guarantee himself a spot as a Heisman finalist come season’s end. Love is another name to watch down the stretch in the last few weeks of the season as Stanford tries to salvage a once promising 2017 campaign.

On Nov. 25, Notre Dame hits the road for its final regular season contest of 2017, against Stanford. When Love and Adams get to square off toe to toe it could also mean the last chance for someone to knock the Irish off in the Playoff running.

Adams outperforming Love in that game would come on the biggest stage in one of the most important games of the season for the Irish. Stanford head coach David Shaw has not used Love to his fullest potential either though which could also give Adams a leg up.
