1. Kliff Kingsbury saves his job for one more week

The two biggest rivals for the Red Raiders come in the last two weeks of the regular season. Baylor and Texas are going to be make or break contests for Kingsbury. He’s had his back against the wall for the entire season.

While the Texas Tech defense has seen some massive improvement under defensive coordinator Joe Gibbs, that is not enough if the Red Raiders miss another bowl game. The losing record from last year was tough for the fans in Lubbock to deal with.

Considering all the pressure on Kingsbury in Week 11, he’ll lead his team to a close victory over Baylor for the second straight year. Everything will come down to the Texas game for the Red Raiders to save Kingsbury’s job and become bowl eligible.

If Texas Tech does win the final two games of the season, Kingsbury would very likely keep his job all the way through the first few games of the 2018 campaign. This program has taken a big turn during this four game slide compared to the beginning of 2017 when it was ranked in the AP Top 25.
