4. Notre Dame won’t be fazed on road

Notre Dame has played three true road games this season and won them by margins of 29, 20, and 23 points. It’s never easy to win on the road in college football, but the Irish haven’t even looked slightly perturbed by any of their trips away from home this season.

Admittedly the visit to Miami will be both their furthest trip of the season to date and the toughest road venue to play in. Hard Rock Stadium will be rocking on Saturday night. “The U” could cement themselves as a real College Football Playoff contender with a win over Notre Dame. It’s not crazy to think they could trade places with the Irish in the rankings if they were to win on Saturday.

But Hard Rock Stadiuim isn’t going to intimidate Notre Dame. There are plenty of road venues that strike fear into their opponents from the moment they step foot in the stadium. Clemson’s Death Valley, LSU’s Tiger Stadium, Penn State’s Beaver Stadium would be near the top of the list.

Hard Rock just isn’t there yet. Miami fans will be excited, but the Irish have already proven they’re more than capable of walking into somebody else’s home turf and coming away with the victory. Notre Dame’s streak of road dominance will continue.
