2. Is it frosty in here?: Scott Frost

There might be no hotter coach in all of college football not in a Power 5 conference than Scott Frost at the moment.

A former national champion quarterback at Nebraska, Frost has steered Central Florida into a position of strength in the American Athletic Conference. More importantly, though, he has shown in just two short years that head coaching is what he was made for.

Frost started out at Stanford before leading the Cornhuskers to greatness in the late 1990s. He bounced around four NFL teams for five years before returning to Nebraska to finish his school work as a graduate assistant.

In 2006, Frost moved to Kansas State before two years with FCS contender Northern Iowa as both a linebacker coach and co-defensive coordinator.

He earned his first offensive job with Oregon in 2009, coaching the wide receivers until becoming the offensive coordinator with the Ducks in 2013. Frost worked under both Chip Kelly and Mark Helfrich and coached in four straight BCS bowls.

After going 6-7 last year and qualifying for a bowl game, Central Florida is unbeaten and one of the top offenses in the AAC with Frost steering the ship. Could the Husker legend spurn his alma mater? Considering Nebraska has gone through coaches and coordinators with him in the game for several years now, that might already be answered?
