DeeJay Dallas has come along as a surprise in the last few weeks for the Miami offense. He caught a 49-yard pass against North Carolina and carried the ball six times for 32 yards against Virginia Tech.

However, Dallas became a key figure in the Hurricanes rushing attack on Saturday night, carrying the ball 12 times, rushing for 53 yards and two touchdowns. Multiple times throughout the ball game Dallas would lineup in a wildcat formation, which proved to be very effective, but his two touchdown runs came out of standard formations.

Dallas’s performance even caught the praise of Miami head coach Mark Richt, “Growing up right before our eyes”, Richt said of the freshman. There is no doubt that Dallas will be a very versatile piece in the Hurricane offense for the rest of the season.
