2. USC Trojans (9-2, 7-1 in Pac-12)

Just like last season, the USC Trojans are peaking at the right time. About this time a year ago, the Trojans were getting love from many CFP analysts as a team that could sneak in with three losses as their resume was very impressive.

The Trojans do not have any bad losses this season as a loss at Washington State and Notre Dame is very understandable, but their downfall is they do not have any major big wins as well — as the Pac-12 Conference is somewhat down this season.

Sure, the Trojans have a nice win over then-ranked No. 14 Stanford and are coming off an impressive 49-35 win over divisional foe Arizona to clinch a spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game, but the best thing USC can do right now is continue to win and win big.

The college football slate in Week 12 is not all that great, which puts USC’s home game against arch-rival UCLA has one of the marquee matchup of the day. A lot of eyes will be on this game and a beat down of their rivals at home will do nothing but wonders for this team as they try and make a name for themselves with regards to the Playoff talk.

The Trojans are still awaiting their Pac-12 Championship opponent as it theoretically could be either Washington, Washington State, or Stanford. Both Washington schools are currently ranked in all polls, so USC wishes to bolster their resume, they will be cheering for either the Huskies or Cougars to draw them in the league title game.
