1. Mike Riley, Nebraska

Mike Riley’s seat is very much on fire following Nebraska’s 54-21 loss to a very mediocre Minnesota team. There were time’s where the Cornhuskers defense looked completely over matched, allowing 514 yards of total offense to a Minnesota team that ranks 111th in total offense. Perhaps a bad sign was Rodney Smith‘s 100-yard kick return for a touchdown to open the game for Minnesota.

Just like Bret Bielema however, Riley does have a chance to salvage the season for Nebraska, but their road is even more daunting the Arkansas’s. Nebraska travels to State College to face No. 12 Penn State, which is always a raucous environment for opposing teams. The Huskers then host Iowa for senior day in the annual Heroes Trophy game, but they were dominated by the Hawkeyes a year ago by a score of 40-10.

It’s looking more and more likely that Nebraska will not be in a bowl game for the first time since 2007, and it’s even more likely that Riley will be gone by season’s end, after only three years in Lincoln.
