2. Josh Rosen makes less mistakes than Sam Darnold

Even though Darnold hit a hot streak of late, Rosen has been the less mistake prone quarterback of the two this year. Darnold has 11 picks compared to nine for Rosen. Yet, more pressure has been on the shoulders of Rosen to carry this UCLA team.

Darnold has the support of running backs like Ronald Jones II on the ground to open up opposing secondaries. Meanwhile, Rosen’s best running back, Bolu Olorunfunmi, has less than 500 rushing yards on the year.

Moreover, Darnold had one of his worst games of the season last year in the USC-UCLA game. He finished with the worst quarterback rating of any start last season while throwing for 267 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.

The fact that both defenses have struggled to contain opposing offenses this year, turnovers could end up being costly mistakes that contribute to a possible loss. If Darnold is not careful with the ball, UCLA could come close to pulling off the upset with a big game from Rosen.
