After a humbling loss to Miami in Week 11, Notre Dame football looks to rebound in an age-old rivalry game against the Navy Midshipmen.

Notre Dame was flying high and hanging out in the Top 4 a week ago. However, a run in with Miami and the “Turnover Chain” did them in and knocked them down a few pegs.

Now, playing at home, the Irish will look to rebound from that loss in a big way against Navy. I think the Fighting Irish will pull this one off and here is why.

5. They have shown resiliency in the face of defeat earlier this season

Earlier this year, Notre Dame dropped a game to the Georgia Bulldogs- a team who also fell from grace after a Week 11 loss. However, since that 20-19 loss, the Irish won seven straight and for the most part won by quite a large margin. This team has shown that defeat will not end their season. They have shown that they are not just the Fighting Irish in name, but in spirit as well.

As shown above, this team prides themselves on working every single day. That hard work, determination and fight will be shown plain and simple against Navy on Saturday afternoon. In contrast, Navy lost three straight against Memphis, UCF and Temple.

Throw in the fact that it is senior day at Notre Dame Stadium. This is a win for the Irish.
