1. He leads the conference in touchdowns, passing yards

Falk leads the Pac-12 in both major passing stats. He’s got five more touchdown passes than the next best quarterback, Darnold. Falk also leads the conference in passing yards with 3,224. Darnold and Rosen both have good stat lines, but not close to matching Falk’s production.

If not for the pass-happy offenses of the Big 12, Falk might be the nation’s leader in passing yards. The top four in that category are all Big 12 quarterbacks, including Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma State’s Mason Rudolph.

Falk is fifth in the nation in passing yards, largely thanks to the amount of attempts he has. His passing attempts lead the country, by far, with 479. New Mexico State’s Tyler Rogers is second behind Falk, with 427. Wazzu’s offense relies on Falk so heavily, that if he has an off game, the team does not have much of a chance to win.

For the offensive scheme that Leach runs, Falk is the perfect fit. He’s got a great arm and can handle the high volume of throws and extreme pressure on his shoulders week in and week out. Few quarterbacks could match the production of Falk, especially in the Pac-12, with the level of success he’s seen at Wazzu.
