3. Oklahoma State Cowboys are not what we though they were

Head coach Mike Gundy definitely gets the blood pressure up for his fan base this year. Oklahoma State has not been able to put any opponent away since the non-conference slate ended. In games with top notch competition like Oklahoma and TCU, the Pokes kept close.

However, the Pokes were supposed to be in the thick of the race for the Big 12 Championship and they had nearly collapsed on multiple occasions. It took one team that was well prepared and could control the clock to finally do that.

Oklahoma State made a real run at things in the fourth quarter, but it was just too much to overcome, down 42-13 at one point. The defense gave up a few big plays to Pringle, allowing more than 150 yards and three touchdowns.

The Cowboys nearly pulled off the enormous comeback, but fell short when it mattered. The final drive for the Pokes felt like Bedlam, unable to convert by going four and out when it mattered. Kansas State came through in the clutch.
