This would be the first matchup of 10-win teams in Chick-fil-A Bowl history, as the No. 14 Clemson Tigers and No. 8 LSU Tigers gave fans one of the best CFA bowls ever.

The first half was as evenly matched as the two teams were, but in the 3rd quarter, LSU opened up the lead, scoring 10 unanswered points to take an 11-point lead into the 4th quarter.

On the arm of quarterback Tajh Boyd, Clemson came roaring back, and put all the talk of “Clemsoning” in past bowl games behind them. The Tigers went 60 yards in just 1:39 during the their final drive., with place kicker Chandler Catanzaro nailing a 37-yard field goal as time expired to secure the win over LSU, 25-24.

Clemson wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was the game’s star performer and made some history as he set Chick-fil-A Bowl records with 13 receptions for 191 yards.
