10 things all college football fans should be thankful for
3. The Entrances
There aren’t many things in the sports world more exciting and bone-chilling than a fantastic entrance, and there are plenty of those in college football.
From AC/DC’s “Back in Black” blaring across Kinnick Stadium for Iowa, to a sequence that is known as “The Most Exciting 25 seconds in College Football” in Clemson, college football is filled with electric and explosive entrances. Perhaps my personal favorite out of all of these entrances is Virginia Tech’s “Enter Sandman” entrance.
The crowd’s involvement with their jumping up and down to Lars Ulrich’s head banging drum beat to the noise level the crowd makes when the Hokies take the field. It is one of the most exciting and intimidating entrances in all of sports. Never underestimate the effect an entrance can have on a crowd or on the opposing team.
