College Football Playoff 2017: Projected Top 4 for Week 13
By Jesse Smith
1. Oklahoma
Nobody really was checking for the Oklahoma/Kansas game besides Oklahoma fans because we all know Kansas hasn’t been good on the football side for what feels like forever. Oklahoma took care of business and clinched their ticket to the Big 12 championship game although they don’t yet know who their opponent will be.
They pounded Kansas 41-3. Spillover from Baker Mayfield‘s less than friendly actions against Kansas now has the senior not starting against West Virginia. His captain title was also taken away from him for the Week 13 contest. All of the commotion was the best part of the game from the non handshake at the coin flip, late hits on the Heisman hopefully, tirade on the sideline and his apology shortly after.

Oklahoma’s defense held Kansas to 155 total yards, this unit has been playing better as of late also. I’m not giving Oklahoma props because of this win, but I’m letting them maintain the number one spot because of their resume. I think they have the best wins so far so I’m not penalizing them for this game, they handled business against a conference opponent, it wasn’t an out of conference cupcake.
