5. Jordan Ta’amu and the Rebel passing game

In Mississippi State’s three losses they allowed over 200 yards passing and multiple passing touchdowns. If the Bulldogs do have a true defensive weakness it is to passing teams.

If that is to be their weakness then Ole Miss has to hit that weakness over and over. The Rebels have been balanced this season but it will most likely have to rely on Ta’amu to win this game. He has weapons to distribute the ball, which will help him in the hostile environment.

Ta’amu has to play like how he did against Kentucky, ULL and the first half of the Texas A&M game. He has all the talent but he needs to remain consistent and not throw a crucial interception under pressure like he did against the Aggies. To go with that, offensive coordinator Phil Longo needs to stick to what works in the game and not fade off like the offense did against A&M. Should Ta’amu throw for 300-400 yards and multiple touchdowns, then the game very well could go in Ole Miss’s favor.
