3. Rebel receivers have to dominate

If Jordan Ta’amu is going to have a big game, then his receivers have to do as well to win. Ole Miss wide receivers, for as good as they are, have had a tendency to disappear in games. The games against Cal, Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M come to mind. Games in which the receivers weren’t much of an impact, dropped easy and big catches and just weren’t the normal threats they should be.

AJ brown, going back to his hometown of Starkville has to be at his best. Brown is one of the best in the country, a semifinalist for the Bilitnekoff Award, he has to be the best player on the field for Ole Miss to win.

Along with Brown, DK Metcalf, DaMarkus Lodge, Braylon Sanders and tight end Dawson Knox all have to make plays when they get the ball, and even more importantly, catch every ball that comes their way. The run game has been good this year, but run defense is Mississippi State’s strength. If the offense becomes one dimensional then the receivers have to dominate. Victory for the Rebels is as simple as that; dominate receiver play.
