College Football Bowl Game Projections 2017: Week 13 edition
By Zach Bigalke
Week 3: Bowl games from Dec. 27 through Dec. 29
The few days before New Year’s weekend offer some intriguing Power Five matchups. The most intriguing could be the revival of the Lone Star Showdown, as former conference rivals Texas and Texas A&M are projected to meet up again in a battle at NRG Stadium in Houston. It has now been six years since the two teams met on the football field, after the Aggies moved to the SEC and killed the rivalry.
That battle headlines a three-day stretch where 10 different Power Five battles are projected to take place. Iowa State looks to play Virginia Tech in Orlando. Stanford and West Virginia might play at the Alamodome. And former Heisman winner Lamar Jackson could face current Heisman hopeful Khalil Tate in a showdown of dual-threat quarterbacks.
