1. Jim Harbaugh will beat the Buckeyes in 2018

I realize that it’s far away and doesn’t have a lot to do with the 2017 matchup, but the Wolverines beat the Buckeyes in 2018. It will be an upset in Columbus, Ohio, at The Horseshoe for Michigan to get the win but it’ll happen.

I can see Urban Meyer struggle on offense again without JT Barrett and with Kevin Wilson off taking a head coaching job for 2018. There’s no way Wilson isn’t up for one and hired between what he did at Indiana with the Hoosiers and what he’s done with Barrett in a year in Columbus.

Urban Meyer had the 23rd-ranked offense to end 2016 per the S&P+ and Wilson has the Buckeyes up to fourth right now.

I can also see Meyer taking a drastic backslide with the Buckeyes if he loses both Wilson and Greg Schiano and Jedd Fisch could return to Michigan with Jim Mora Jr. being fired from UCLA. Fisch needs a spot to coach and could resurface with Harbaugh. Either way, losing both Wilson and Schiano, both of which are rumored for openings right now, will hurt Meyer.

The Wolverines will also have more experience on the offensive line and at quarterback as Brandon Peters has proven he has talent when he’s healthy. He will be getting all of the starting reps in January and beyond will be pivotal for the Wolverines development and they’ll return the majority of their starting roster for 2018.
