2. Wimbush records 150 rushing yards

It’s been a while since quarterback Brandon Wimbush has put together a substantial rushing performance as his last outing over 100 yards came in his Week 10 matchup vs. Wake Forest. He has since recorded outputs of 24 and 41 yards against Miami and Navy, respectively.

With Stanford giving up a poor 4.7 yards per carry on the season, there is certainly opportunity for Wimbush to put together quite the outing against the Cardinal. Should standout running back Josh Adams find a way to establish the run game on his own, Wimbush will be in great position to rebound after a stretch of poor performances.

Additionally, Notre Dame will be playing yet another game against top 25 competition. Outside of matchups against elite teams such as Georgia and Miami, Wimbush has answered the call against top 25 opponents in USC and NC State. Should Wimbush perform similarly to how he has against upper-tier competition in the past, there’s a good chance he gets back on track in the run game.
