USC finished its season a week earlier than most teams, concluding with a takedown of UCLA the weekend before Thanksgiving. The Trojans finished the regular season with 10 wins, and now they will prepare for a rematch against Stanford in the Pac-12 championship game next weekend.

Though they won’t get a chance to avenge the loss to Washington State, the Trojans will be clear favorites to claim their first conference title since it was still the Pac-10 back in 2008. With a couple more big games, Sam Darnold could cap his college career with a 4000-yard passing season before heading to the NFL.

Clay Helton‘s squad has pretty much zero chance of squeaking into the College Football Playoff, after losing to the Cougars in conference play and Notre Dame out of conference. But a spot in the Fiesta Bowl is their likeliest destination if the Trojans can win next weekend against a Cardinal squad they’ve already taken down once this season.
