For the first time in several weeks, the Hurricanes are not the leader in the ACC.

And it couldn’t have come at a worse time.

Miami suffered a stunning 24-14 loss to Pittsburgh this past Friday, bringing to life “Black Friday” for the program.

With it being the first loss of the season, though, the Hurricanes are likely to still have championship dreams before them. Miami has the chance to win the ACC this Saturday when they face Clemson, and a win over the Tigers should vault them into the Top-4 of the College Football Playoff.

However, you better believe the “experts” will be looking much deeper at those one-possession wins for Miami in October over Florida State, Georgia Tech, Syracuse and North Carolina.

The Hurricanes will need a much better showing out of quarterback Malik Rosier against the Tigers after he completed just 15 of 34 and was even sent to the bench for a brief period. Miami also ran for only 45 yards against Pittsburgh.
